Gender Affirming Closet
The Blue Water Allies believe everyone should have the opportunity to express their true selves. We are dedicated to providing a safe and affirming space for self-expression.Through the generosity of local donors and our Gender Affirming Closet Sponsor, Blue Care Complete, the Gender Affirming Closet at the Ally Center provides new, gender affirming underclothes such as compression tops and tucking underwear for NO COST to anyone in need. We have trained volunteers to assist with safe sizing and use. The Closet also has new hygiene and self care items and a collection of gently used clothing in a range of sizes and styles.

The Closet is available to browse whenever the Blue Water Ally Center is open. For the safety of our community, the free compression tops will only be available when trained volunteers are available to assist. Limit one free new item every six months.

Our ability to provide new, free gender affirming underclothes and hygiene products is not possible without the generosity of donors like Blue Cross Complete of Michigan and the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. We also rely on the donations of gently used clothing items from the community.
