The Blue Water Ally Center
1519 Military Street, Port Huron
The Ally Center occupies the former Atrium Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor. While the restaurant closed years ago, the Ally Center has found a new home in this great space. The large front room is used to host meetings, artistic programming and events. The atrium area has been converted into a modern, comfortable space for social gathering. The outdoor space has been replanted with native Michigan plants, pollinators, and is host to many outdoor social gatherings. The garden is also ideal for peaceful reflection amidst its beauty. The outside paved lot is perfect for potential food trucks in addition to parking for our guests. There is also an overflow lot for additional parking and outdoor events.
We aim to champion acceptance, understanding, visibility, and justice for all LGBTQ+ people.
Our doors are open to the general public and ALL who support our vision.

Are you looking for a welcoming, flexible space for your next meeting, celebration, or special event? The Blue Water Ally Center is available for rental by businesses, nonprofits, community groups, and individuals for private events. Every rental helps support our mission of inclusion, connection, and community well-being. Our space offers a variety of options to fit your needs, including a spacious main hall with tables and chairs, private meeting rooms, a cozy atrium, a covered patio and gazebo, and a beautiful enclosed garden and grassy area. Whether you’re planning a workshop, team meeting, wedding, birthday, or celebration of life, our center provides a perfect environment for your gathering.
Rental rates are structured to support community access, with options for nonprofits, private individuals, and businesses. Use of the space includes tables and chairs, and limited kitchenette or bar access may be available by request. All rental proceeds directly fund Blue Water Allies’ programs and services here in the Blue Water Area and Thumb Region.
