Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families (ACA/ACDF)

This worldwide 12-step program is designed for adults who grew up in homes affected by alcohol abuse, neglect, or other forms of family dysfunction. Through meetings and the Twelve Steps, participants work toward healing childhood trauma and building healthier adult relationships.

The group explores topics such as the "Laundry List"; common traits many adult children develop, including low self-esteem, fear of abandonment, and people-pleasing, as well as reparenting, learning to provide ourselves with the care and validation we may not have received growing up. Meetings also offer a safe, nonjudgmental environment where participants can share their experiences and support one another on their healing journey.
