This month, we are reading The Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen. This historical fiction time slip novel, authored by American writer Jane Yolen and published in 1988, tells the story of Hannah Stern. Hannah, a Jewish girl, finds herself transported back to 1941 Poland during a Passover Seder dinner amidst World War II. She endures the horrors of the Holocaust, is taken to a concentration camp, and discovers the significance of understanding the past.
