This month, we are diving into the thought-provoking world of The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. This powerful sequel to The Handmaid's Tale continues the story of Gilead, exploring the lives of three women whose fates intertwine in a society built on oppression and control.
About the Story
Set fifteen years after the events of the original novel, The Testaments is narrated by Aunt Lydia, a high-ranking member of Gilead's oppressive regime, and two young women, Daisy and Agnes, who are navigating their lives under the regime's strict rules.
